Map of the area.

Main aim for members is to assist Bill & Gareth with the teddy parachuting as there are a lot of kids to accomodate over the course of the weekend.

As last week there is NO THEME to this event, so its up to you what kites you would like to bring.

Having attended to-day, it is indeed a large site, but there are several activites going on to entertain the Beavers. If you intend attending Sunday, I would suggest you get there by 09.30 as parking seems to be at a premium at the school. The wind was more thermal than anything blowing and was not very good. I understand from one of the Air activity scouts that the forecast is for a wind speed of around 17mph.

If you are coming please note that there will be around 1000 Beaver scouts mingling around.

Nonetheless it was a good day to-day.

Hope you will be able to come along and assist Bill, Gareth, and myself part of the time with the Teddy Bear Parachuting

How many teddy bears were dropped?
With 1000's of little Beavers we must be at world record numbers!!!!

Can't get there to your relief as am having to take Sir's medical equipment to St. Thomas' for emergency repair this morning.

See you all at Brighton......

Re: Beaver Kaleidoscope 3rd & 4th July
we bunged bears from about 11am until about 3:30pm with a half hour break for lunch. I dread to think how many bears were bunged, but it was a lot, many individually, but equally we threw 2, 3 or 4 at a time and it was non stop! Sunday was a good day with a strong breez, once we'd found a good place to fly.

We now need volunteers for parachute repairs before hilly fields :(
