Re: 30 Jan or Sunday 31`st January Hythe Green is basically a marine shingle beach with a little topsoil over it that the grass clings to, so it does drain very well! We have had a dusting of snow this morning so as Gerty said every were is going to be wet under foot this weekend the Hythe Green wasn't to bad last week when we flew there.

Re: 30 Jan or Sunday 31`st January Iam going to put it out as Hythe Green, if members want to meet up or it is flying locally otherwise. The forecast is for it to be sunny and cold, but no more snow or rain.

Re: 30 Jan or Sunday 31`st January Thanks both for your help but I had to go to see my old Aunt in a home in Deal with my brother. Sorry, I will try again next week to get there where ever you are flying.

Re: 30 Jan or Sunday 31`st January Its a shame you couldnt get to join us Mike. We all had a great afternoon in bright sunshine with a reasonable breeze. Ground conditions were ok, not to muddy. Ideal conditions for the maiden flight of my undefeated Rok. Only problem was warming up afterwards. It was well into the evening before I felt really warm again.
It was great to see all who made it on Sunday, it seems like an age ago we were last able to fly. Some great pictures there Gareth, Hythe looks different from a height! I think I can just make out footy happening on South Road so we were in the right place. Heres hoping for a decent weekend next week so the undefeated Rok can take to the air again Mike PS Undefeated Rok? I hear you ask, you will have to wait for the next issue of The Windjammer where I will attempt to explain all |
